Mirror, Mirror – Get on that WALL! – How to hang a heavy mirror

Mirror, mirror on the wall, what video is my most popular of all?

This one! It is my most popular video on You Tube.  I walk you through how to hang a mirror properly. It could also apply to a piece of art or architectural element that has two points of attachment to the wall.  Watch all the steps first and then read any install directions that come with your item.  Always use anchors that are rated to meet weight of your object.

Below is a list of supplies needed:

Item to he hung – if it is heavy it should be hung by two points. Do not use picture wire for heavy objects

Drill or screwdriver (drill is preferred). My fav is Ryobi with a DeWalt magnetic drive shaft extender

Tape measure or yard stick

EZ Anchors brand Twist N Lock Anchors – be sure to buy anchors rated for weight of your object

Pen or Pencil

Level long enough to span width of item or a laser level (I really like Black & Decker’s basic level)

Hammer

Common nails – if you are lucky enough to find a stud! 2 inch minimum recommended (I could make a lot of jokes here but will refrain)
