One Way to Cut Clogs? A DIY Surprise

Grease and cooking go hand in hand, especially from fried foods and meat grease. I saw the remnants of such cooking when I recently changed a faucet and sink for a client.  When I opened the drain I found grease and slime as expected but I also found something very interesting – a KNIFE.  That was a surprise for sure. I am used to seeing hair, grease and food fragments but never a cutting tool! Any of these things can slow your drains and cause a back up of nasty dirty water. You need something to cut through the gunk, but a paring knife is not what I would suggest.

Just like these homeowners had no idea what was lingering in their drain, you probably don’t know what lingers in yours. No worries. There’s a Roto-Rooter product that can break down the stuff (grease, slime and food debris that builds up in your drain over time before it creates a real clog and nasty odors!

The former nurse in me says think of that gunk in your drains as the cholesterol build up in your arteries. It’s bad because it collects over time and narrows the flow. Waste water residue coats the drain pipes with a layer of slime and grease; then hair and food crud gets stuck in it and narrows the opening. Well, when it happens to your blood vessels, you get an angiogram to get your tubes cleared out. When it happens to your drains, you can add Roto-Rooter Build Up Remover to keep drains clear. Cheaper than a co pay too!

This is not a clog buster but more of a maintenance treatment designed to keep things moving and prevent problems.  And a little preventive medicine is always a good thing. Roto-Rooter’s Build Up Remover doesn’t just remove the slimy residue, it deodorizes your drains using natural enzymes so your sinks and tubs smell better too.   It is safe for septic tanks as well so there is no reason to not give it try and use it monthly for routine pipe care. You can keep things flowing . If only we could achieve heart healthy habits that easily!
